Julia A. Chaney-Faughn, Committed to your rights

Julia Chaney-Faughn was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 2008 and the Illinois Bar in 2010. She has been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts of Missouri, was the Tenth Circuit Judicial Bar Association Secretary in 2008-09, and was admitted to the Supreme Court Bar in 2025. Julia also worked with Frederich Cruse at the Cruse • Chaney-Faughn Law Firm for 17 years before his passing in 2025.

She serves as a Board Member of AVENUES (domestic abuse shelter), is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Counsel, and is a member of the Regional Interagency Coordinating Councils (RICCs), and is a member with Missouri First Steps. She is also a member of The Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates, an independent national American association of parents of children with disabilities, attorneys, advocates, and related professionals who protect the legal and civil rights of students with disabilities and their families. She was also recognized as the 2023 F. Wm. McCalpin Pro Bono Award Winner for the Common Good through Legal Services of Eastern Missouri.

Julia took part in the 2022 Partners in Policymaking Training Class, a leadership training program designed for advocates and parents of young children with developmental disabilities. This allows her to better serve the community. The goal of Partners is to develop productive partnerships between people who need and use services and those who can help and advocate for the community and those in need. She has also completed Special Education Law Training.
